The 36th Ankara Film Festival, set to take place from November 13–21, 2025, has announced its Honorary Award recipients. This year’s awards will go to Zuhal Olcay, Rutkay Aziz, Demet Evgar, and Selman Nacar.
As one of Türkiye’s longest-running film festivals, the Ankara Film Festival will welcome audiences for the 36th time this November. The festival’s traditional Honorary Awards have been revealed.
The Aziz Nesin Achievement Award will be presented to Zuhal Olcay for her multifaceted contributions to theater, cinema, and music. The Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Rutkay Aziz, honoring his pioneering work on stage and lasting contributions to cinema.
Sinematek/Sinema Evi, recognized for preserving film culture and safeguarding memory through its archival work, will receive the Mass Communication Award. Actress Demet Evgar and director Selman Nacar have been selected as recipients of the Foundation’s Special Award.
The Honorary Awards will be presented to their recipients during the Opening Ceremony on November 13.
