“BEHZAT Ç. REPRESENTS THE PUBLIC CONSCIENCE”

In addition to playing the lead role, Beşikçioğlu also serves as the mayor of the district where the show is filmed. He emphasized that the character of Behzat Ç. carries even more meaning in today’s Türkiye.
“In a country where justice and the rule of law are constantly questioned, Behzat Ç. has become a matter of public conscience,” he said. “Everyone involved, both in front of and behind the camera, worked with that awareness. The result is a solid production with the same sense of responsibility Behzat Ç. always carried.”
Beşikçioğlu noted that the filming process never interfered with his municipal duties.
“Since everything took place within the district, I never stepped away from my work. Even during shoots, I took note of things I observed in the field and passed them to my team. Balancing both roles wasn’t easy, but the team was incredibly professional. Devrim (Yalçın) put together an excellent shooting schedule. We stayed right on track.”
“WE PULLED IT OFF SMOOTHLY”
Despite the demanding schedule, the season was completed with great dedication.
“Sharing the screen with Canan again after so many years was incredibly exciting for me,” said Beşikçioğlu. “This season went by in the blink of an eye. I initially thought it would be tough, but everyone knew exactly what they were doing. We pulled it off smoothly. It’s a strong season, both in pace and content.”
Beşikçioğlu also commented on the public interest in his dual role as actor and mayor:
“When I let my hair down, I become Behzat. When I wear the leather jacket, I hit the streets. But when I tie my hair and put on a suit, I’m the mayor. Let’s call it years of practice—I didn’t struggle with it.”
“IT LEFT ME WANTING MORE”
Canan Ergüder, who returns as Prosecutor Esra, said she was thrilled to reprise her role:
“The character I played 13 years ago is back. It had left me wanting more. I was so excited when I read the script.”
“THIS WILL BE THE MOST ANTICIPATED SEASON YET”
Derin Beşikçioğlu, who plays Detective Melike, said it was an honor to act alongside her father.
“It’s a childhood dream come true. I believe this will be the most anticipated season yet. Melike is someone who acts based on logic, not emotion. This season, we’ll see that side of her even more clearly.”
“THE SCRIPT IS FULL OF SURPRISES”

İnanç Konukçu, who returns as the fan-favorite character “Hayalet” (Ghost), said:
“The script is explosive—every episode is full of surprises. Let’s keep some of the developments between Hayalet and Akbaba under wraps for now.”
Selen Öztürk, another beloved member of the cast, noted that this season would be both emotional and impactful.
“Canan’s return has strengthened the entire story. Viewers will witness not just events, but also confrontations and healing between broken hearts.”
